As you enter Pamukkale, you are greeted by snow white cascades. The travertines formed as a result of the calcium hydro carbonate present in the hot springs are magnificent and attract a lot of tourists. The resemblance of the white cascades to the clouds saw Hierapolis named as Pamukkale which means the white fortress.
Besides that, you will enjoy a swim if you so love at the Cleopatras Thermal Pools. These waters are believed to have some therapeutic power and that the bath leaves you feeling younger.
After the bath you will be able to determine if you felt the change. If time still allows, you may also visit some Turkish traditional handicraft centers.
